Our October 2017 selection was ‘Flat Rock of the Old Time’ – Letters from the Mountains to the Lowcountry, 1837-1939 Edited by Robert B. Cuthbert. It was mentioned that this discussion needs to be continued. We will revisit this book July 11 with specific questions ahead of time to deepen our conversation . (additional copies available at the Cultural Center/ Museum – come in and purchase your copy on Saturday – or call to reserve and have it delivered in Flat Rock.)

An additional suggestion was to have a historical cookbook related offering. We are opening up a discussion “ A Taste of History”. This will include a subsequent meeting with a tasting menu. Look for this new event late summer 2018. Please send titles to us that are of interest to you.
